(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Iraqi school students competed in a Quranic concepts competition on Friday, Nov 19, in the holy city of Najaf.
The contest, which was organized by Quran department of Shahid Mehrab Institute, gathered teenagers studying at a number of schools in the holy city of Najaf, Najaf news channel reports.
Giving answer to the questions, contestants were subsequently evaluated by the jury, consisting of the country’s Quranic experts including Vahid Alhalou, Mahnad Alabedi, Amjad Alshaibani.
“I recommend that you should increase your knowledge about the holy book by taking part in such competitions” said Hazim Alhalou, a co-organizer of the event, while addressing the participants at the closing ceremony.
In addition to Quran competition, at the end of which selected contestants were awarded, participants also competed in other fields of activity, covering art, culture and science.
